ROLE OF SUPPLIER RELATIONS MANAGEMENT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF HOSPITALS IN KISII COUNTY, KENYA

T his study sought to find out the role of supplier relations management on performance selected hospitals in Kisii County. The methodology this was purely qualitative. In present study, a census survey approach taken which target population comprising all 115 registered County formed sample. Purposive sampling techniques then employed whereby units analysis were key informants top level officials from procurement departments across hospitals, bringing sample size 115. Data obtained through primary data sources by means questionnaires administered Descriptive and inferential statistics used analyze collected. descriptive statistics, frequencies, percentages, mean standard deviation used. regression determine relationship between variables. findings presented tables graphs. revealed that majority practitioners institutions surveyed put significant consideration both suppliers’ organizational financial stability product quality thereof. There low adoption levels various development measures surveyed. It also found prices are supply chain performance. contracting has moderately greatly impacted most reached. Inferential positive correlation is seen each aspect Performance. strongest selection Performance (r = .798) weaker Supplier .436). payment strongly positively correlated with at coefficient .716 .708 respectively.
